Coming up on the anniversary of Bill's death I am recalling our friendship, with joy and sadness. Joy for the many blessings he offered to me and the men in prison we worked with and sadness about his departure. No matter how much darkness may fill our lives, Bill's gifts of tenderness, compassion and gentle insight are the treasures that keeps on giving. For that I remain enormously grateful.

I had the pleasure of volunteering with Bill for a number of years with Jericho Circle, an organization that does emotional healing work with men in prison. Bill was deeply committed to our organization and participated in a number of our weekend prison intensives. His love, dedication and gentle spirit was valued by insiders and volunteers alike. Rest in peace brother - you will be missed!
