Victor Scott Obituary

DONIPHAN, Mo. - Victor Scott, 76, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at his residence.

Mr. Scott was born May 1, 1932, in Sussex County. He was a 1951 graduate of Newton High School and was the 1950 wrestling state champion. He attended West Point Pentecostal Church. Mr. Scott was a truck driver who enjoyed hunting, fishing and car racing.

His wife, Elizabeth Margretta Matlock, died in April 1988. Mr. Scott was also predeceased by his parents, Comegys Victor and Mildred Doris Jennings Scott.

His survivors include his two sons, Victor Scott and his wife, Vickie, of Stillwater and Michael Scott and his wife, Stephani, of Carbondale, Pa.; his daughter, Elizabeth Scott of Newton; his brother, Walter Scott of Doniphan; his two sisters, Diana Mathies and her husband, Robert, of Stillwater and Doris Nehrkorn and her husband, Rudy, of Slate Hill, N.Y.; seven grandchildren and six great-granchildren.

A memorial service was held Thursday, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m. at the West Point Pentecostal Church in Doniphan.

The family would like to thank Mr. Scott's caregivers, Walt, BJ, Joush, Danny and Faline.

i am sorry to see that victor has left us,. I worked with him at holland mfg., when he came in from being on the road he would make you laugh never seeing him in a bad mood, he was a very smart man and would answer all questions you may had for him, sad to see him go. god bless everyone in the scott famiely
