Martin

Clyde A. Martin, Jr., 74, of Ludlow, passed away on Tuesday March 20, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Florence. He was a retired Welder for Cincinnati Industrial Machinery. Clyde was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Ludlow. He was a former Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School Teacher, and Food Pantry Minister for First Baptist Church in Ludlow; He also was a Thursday Bible Study Group member with Calvary Baptist. Clyde loved reading Scripture and was a Cross Words enthusiast as well as a Skyline Chili Connoisseur. Survivors include his loving wife Beverly Martin of Ludlow; sons Adam Martin of Ludlow, David (Hope) Schmidt of Jonesboro, TN; brother, Wesley Martin of Alexandria; granddaughter, M.E. Schmidt; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thelma and Clyde Albert Martin; sisters, Dixie DeMoss (2009) and Ruth Lantz. Visitation is Friday, March 23, 2012 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY 41016. Service is Saturday March 24, 2012 at 10:00AM in Wesley United Methodist Church, 319 Oak Street, Ludlow, KY 41016. Interment in Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, KY. Sorry to hear about Clydes death. I went to Newport High with Clyde and was his girlfriend for a time. He had a beautiful voice back then and I still remember him singing in school. I always thought he would become a minister but notice he was very active in church. He is home.
