Hunter Tomlin Obituary
Hunter W. Tomlin, 14, of Latonia, KY passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016. He was a Freshman at Holmes High School, a member of the Holmes Bulldogs Soccer Team and loved to debate. Hunter was a huge Green Bay Packers fan, enjoyed video games and loved his dog Bristol. Hunter is survived by his parents: Bryan and Holly Tomlin; sisters; Myranda Sheets and Alexandra Tomlin; maternal grandmother: Vickie (Late:John) Sheets and a huge, loving group of extended family and friends. A Memorial Gathering will take place on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 from 4:00 P.M until 7:00 P.M. at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015. Memorials are suggested to Holmes High School C/O Soccer Program, 2500 Madison Avenue, Covington, KY 41014. Online condolences may be expressed on Facebook or at

Hey kiddo- your 22nd birthday is in 2 days... oh how you are missed. I know your spirit is still at your house and you make yourself present especially right now. That´s at least somewhat soothing when you let your dad mom and sister know you´re still there and playing tricks on them. Your and your grandpa namesake, Edward wade is sooo like you. You and him would definitely been bussom buddies causing havic you are missed so so much. I talk to you all the time. That torn piece of my heart will never ever heal. I know it’s been a while, Hunter, but I just wanted you to know that I miss you. We weren’t as close in high school as we were growing up, and I regret that every day. In elementary school you were the only one who remembered my birthday, and you always cheered me on during academic team. I didn’t always have a lot of friends, but you remember me when others didn’t. Thank you.

Myself and Hunter went to Middle School together. I moved away to Louisville before 8th Grade Year so I didn't have much contact with him as I used to. I miss him dearly and wish I could talk to him again. -Liam L

Hunter was in my homeroom at HMS last year. It was so great to see his smiling face each morning and hear him goof around with the kids during breaks. He raised his hand a lot, too, and tried to get involved in the lessons.
I never heard anyone, not once, say anything bad about Hunter. He was a good friend to many kids. I love him.
Please God be with his family and friends. It is an awful loss to all of us.

Rest in peace Hunter. I did not have the pleasure of meeting you, but some of my students do know you. It sounds like you were an amazing young man.
