Jacob Gripshover Obituary
- - 29, passed away on August 4, 2018. He was born on June 21, 1989 in Edgewood, KY. Jacob worked for Structural Systems Repair Group as a Concrete Specialist, Senior Technician. He loved customizing his truck, riding motorcycles, shooting guns and spending time with his family, friends and his dog and best friend, Bear. He never met a stranger and was always there with a big smile to help anyone in need.
Jacob is preceded in death by his aunt Cathleen Gripshover, uncle David Todtenbier and stepfather Hubert Pope. He is survived by his mother Darla Pope and father Jeremy Gripshover, Sr; grandparents Henry and Jacqueline Gripshover and Harry and June Holtkamp; brother Jeremy (Kelley) Gripshover, Jr.; nieces Kylie and Alayna; girlfriend Carlee Tyson; stepsisters Sarah (Christany, Blake and Bailey) McDaniel and Marissa (Robert) Wagner; nephews Grady and Baylor; stepbrother Joel ( Allison, Jenna and Mia) Pope; many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous great friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2018 from 4pm until 7pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home in Taylor Mill, KY. Funeral Services will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home on Monday, August 13, 2018 at 10am.
Jake's last act on this earth was as a tissue donor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliation (KODA) 10160 Linn Station Road, Louisville, KY 40223 or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America 322 Eight Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
The family would like everyone to write down their favorite memory of Jake. Please bring it to the service and place in the Memory Box.
