Donna was a special gift to all who knew her, and especially loved in Visitation Sewing Group who relied on her wisdom, grace and humor throughout the years. I was present online for the beautiful funeral Mass, a tribute to the work she performed in Christ's name throughout her life. Rest in peace, dear Donna.

I wanted to offer the family my deepest sympathy. Donna will be greatly missed. I enjoyed knowing her and sneaking cookies from the kitchen on Devonshire. What a great lady, great mom and great grandmother. The Meakin family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

What a beautiful smile and spirit. After knowing Donna for 40 years, I would see her at Christ hospital where I was working. When we'd see each other, we'd share a good story, a big smile and laugh, and have lunch from time to time. Her ministry at Christ showed an amazing commitment to her Catholic faith and our patients.

Peace to Chuck, Molly and the rest of the family during this time of transition. Hoping your loss is somewhat relieved by the countless stories, and smiles, that come with the memories of your mom and dad.

I was so sad to hear about Aunt Donna's passing. She was such a vivacious person - spiritually, physically and intellectually. She was always so kind, generous and funny! Her warm heart and wonderful sense of humor was so appreciated, and will truly be missed. It is comforting to know that she is with God now.

Her obituary was absolutely the BEST! Such a loss to so many, but she is for sure in a much better place. The Meakin family were our wonderful neighbors and friends for all our years on Devonshire and then on Kroger. One of my fondest memories was all the Meakins walking down to our house VERY early Christmas morning to see what Santa left the Frey's. This continued a while on Kroger, but kids got older, the visits later and later and then grandkids started arriving and eventually our Christmas tradition stopped. I always admired Donna--good wife, Mom, neighbor and friend. And, how could I forget those fabulous Day Camps by Holly and Molly for all the little kids!! They LOVED it and I did too!! Our love, prayers and deepest sympathy to all the Meakins. Rest in Peace Donna!

I loved seeing her smiling face at CK half way up on the right with daughter. And Jim singing in the choir all those years ago with Tom and me. Keep her spirit, dear children. There is no finer testament. Love, Jewel
