Nathan Laffoon Obituary

LAFFOON

Nathan Powell Laffoon, the Merry Prankster father of Flip Laffoon and Catie Laffoon, left us Feb 8th, 2017, to ride the Furthur into his next great adventure. He will always be remembered for quoting Gram Pappy and Bob Dylan at every turn, his flare for Caribbean colors, his irreverent sense of humor and fierce intelligence, and being a passionately devoted father - the single greatest joy of his life. Born in Cincinnati, OH to Polk Laffoon III and Emily Allen Laffoon, and brother to Polk Laffoon IV and Peter Laffoon. A memorial will be held in Harbor Springs, MI over Memorial Day Weekend.

I am crushed to hear this! We corresponded at length on life, the family and horse racing. I kept planning to get to Michigan to see him but never managed to do it. A Deupree cousin, Susan

So saddened to hear about Nathan, he was a great man and friend that will be missed by many. He truly loved his family and was always excited when he was going to see them or they were visiting. I'll miss you my friend.

I am sending my best wishes to Nathan's family. He was a dear friend in Cincinnati and at Rollins College. I was so pleased to see him in Florida later at a reunion (I now live in Toronto) and he had not changed in any way. He was special and very magical and forever young in spirit. We spoke on the phone later and I will remember how proud he was of his children. You were loved and revered. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Sussannah (Skinner) Kelly but Susu to him.
