Aimee, you will be truly missed. I can remember the first time I worked with you at Carolinas Medical Center Emergency Dept and how you stood behind me and tapped me on the shoulder and said " I'm Aimee and I'm new, what's your name:-)(smiling)" You were always a very fun and crazy person to work with. It is so hard to believe that you are gone, but, I know that you are in a better place. Aimee you will be truly missed!!...
May God Bless your family.... and keep them strong....

Dear Brumlee Family: we are so sorry to hear of your loss. We had the pleasure of meeting Aimee when she worked with us here at the Lake. Her smile was sunlight, her laugh contagious and she truly cared about her patients. Nursing was her true calling and we were blessed to have her on our team, even if only for the short time we had. May God bless and keep you close at this difficult time.

Aimee was a true and very dear friend of mine. There will never be the right words to explain how truly wonderful she is. She was a kindred spirit. I will never find a friend like her ever again, she is unique and irreplacebale. I hated that we were seperated with so much time and space in between NC and LA. I miss her deeply. I am in a deep sadness that she is gone. The only thing that is comforting me at this moment is knowing she is a beautiful angel in heaven looking over all of the people she loved and cared for. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends through this trageic time of unimaginable grief. Her memory will shine bright and live on in our hearts and souls - from now until we meet again. I love and miss you terribly Aimee Cakes!!

I was so LUCKY to be a part of Aimee's life while she attened SJA. I was coaching there with the volleyball team and just thought the world of her. She was a bright lite at that school and in the gym. She oozed enthusiam and never met a stranger. Her lite here has gone out but my gosh, the glow from heaven will be so obvious to those of us that knew her. I, of course, have not seen nor heard of her in years but I am not surprised she bacame a nurse. She was so kind and helpful and so smart. In me her influence lives on and oh boy what a great hug I expect when I get to heaven to see her!
I am sorry for this loss and know God will be the only one to bring you any comfort but do know today she sees God face to face- how glorious that is! May God bless you all!

I was fortunate enough to meet Aimee while in nursing school and she will always be one of my greatest friends. She and I would pull all nighters together before every exam and those three years together were the best days of my life. The expressions and sayings that I use on a daily basis have come from her. She was even with me the first night I met my husband. I always felt Aimee was a sister

I met Aimee as a kid playing basketball for the Lady Tigers AAU club. She was always so warm and friendly. We continued to meet up by playing against each other in high school and it was a friendly match up. We reconnected as adults in nursing school, where she always made everyone feel welcome and included. My sincerest condolences for your loss. My heart and many prayers go out to you.

Life is just a stopping place
A pause in what's to be
A resting place along the road
To sweet eternity
We all have different journeys
Different paths along the way
We all are meant to learn some things
But never meant to stay....
Our destination is a place
Far greater than we know
For some the journeys quicker
For some the journeys slow
And when the journey finally ends
We'll claim a great reward
And find an everlasting peace together with the Lord
Rest In Peace, Sweet Girl!

Aimee and I were part of a great family of sorts growing up, I like to think of it. A group of friends that I had the pleasure and great fortune of growing up with, playing soccer together since I can remember. We also went to highschool together at SJA. My heart is very saddened by this. When I think of Aimee, I think of her bright smile, her sense of humor that was contagious, and her indomitable spirit. My prayers are with the Brumley family. My prayers are for peace and comfort during this very hard time. May you experience God's love in a way that calms your mind and comforts your heart.

Karen and Frank, I so clearly remember you guys sitting thru every one of Aimee's games at St. Joe's. You were her biggest fans and such dedicated parents. I remember thinking what a lucky young lady she was to have such devoted parents. My daughter Laura was on the team as well and thought the world of Aimee. As time would have it, we all went our separate ways, but we still remember those who have touched us. May God bless you and help you through what I am sure is the hardest of times. With love and admiration, Laura Dischler's Mom-Judy.

To My Dearest Family
Some things I'd like to say,
but first of all to let you know
that I arrived okay
I'm writing this from Heaven
where I dwell with God above
where there's no more tears
or sadness there
is just eternal love
Please do not be unhappy
just because I'm out of sight
remember that I'm with you
every morning, noon and night
That day I had to leave you
when my life on Earth was through
God picked me up and hugged me
and He said I welcome you
It's good to have you back again
you were missed while you were gone
as for your dearest family
they'll be here later on
I need you here so badly
as part of My big plan
there's so much that we have to do
to help our mortal man
Then God gave me a list of things
He wished for me to do
and foremost on that list of mine
is to watch and care for you
And I will be beside you
every day and week and year
and when you're sad
I'm standing there
to wipe away the tear
And when you lie in bed at night
the days chores put to flight
God and I are closest to you
in the middle of the night
When you think of my life on Earth
and all those loving years
because you're only human
they are bound to bring you tears
But do not be afraid to cry
it does relieve the pain
remember there would be no flowers
unless there was some rain
I wish that I could tell you
of all that God has planned
but if I were to tell you
you wouldn't understand
But one thing is for certain
though my life on Earth is o're
I am closer to you now
than I ever was before
And to my very many friends
trust God knows what is best
I'm still not far away from you
I'm just beyond the crest
There are rocky roads ahead of you
and many hills to climb
but together we can do it
taking one day at a time
It was always my philosophy
and I'd like it for you too
that as you give unto the World
so the World will give to you
If you can help somebody
who is in sorrow or in pain
then you can say to God at night
my day was not in vain
And now I am contented
that my life it was worthwhile
knowing as I passed along the way
I made somebody smile
So if you meet somebody
who is down and feeling low
just lend a hand to pick him up
as on your way you go
When you are walking
down the street
and you've got me on your mind
I'm walking in your footsteps
only half a step behind
And when you feel the gentle breeze
or the wind upon your face
that's me giving you a great big hug
or just a soft embrace
And when it's time for you to go
from that body to be free
remember you're not going
you are coming here to me
And I will always love you
from that land way up above
Will be in touch again soon
P.S. God sends His Love

Aimee was my high school idol! She was an amazing person that I looked up to dearly. I strived to be just like her on and off the basketball court. Although my heart is terribly saddened, I know she is in a better place. God Bless! All my love to the Brumley Family!
