Alma Lee Sharpe

Alma Lee Jenkins Sharpe passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the age of ninety-three. Loving mother of Gayle Sharpe Morgan (William), Eddie Arnold Sharpe (Margaret) and Alma Lee Concha (Greg). Beloved daughter of the late Julia Toney Jenkins and Robert Mark Jenkins. Preceded in death by her four siblings, Ella Mae Barker, Rose Beatrice Sharp, Julia Irene Jarrell, Robert Maurice Jenkins, and her former husband Arnold Van Buren Sharpe. Surviving grandchildren include Mark Morgan (Missy), Eddie Sharpe, Jr., Rhett Sharpe, Ricardo Moreno and Laura Concha, and great-grandchildren Matthew and Mason Morgan. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends, including longtime friend Cecelia Libby. Special thanks go to Jean Isaac with Omni Home Health, the loving people with St. Catherine's Hospice, Dr. William Barfield, and Dr. John Angelo. Alma was a loving, generous person who never met a stranger. Her interests included family, travelling, gardening, and cooking. Those who know her will attest that she never let you leave her home hungry. She will be sadly missed by the many people she has loved and helped throughout the years. Her absence will be especially felt by her two beloved puppies, Precious and Angel. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services with Rev. Charles Alder presiding, at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 11:00 AM with visitation on Monday beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery.
