Mr. B. made American History fun! He was a great guy and an incredible story teller. He also kept the peace at East Jefferson. I'd give more than one chlorophyll George to sit in his class one more time. RIP Mr. Bertaut!

I was one of his students in grammar school when I moved to Metairie in 1951.
He was an impressive teacher and body builder - he sure let the class know who was in charge and there was not goofing around. He set a lot of young people on the right track.
