Andrew Gene Gutierrez

Andrew Gene Gutierrez passed away on January 28, 2014 at the age of 35. Beloved husband of Tasha Phillips Gutierrez. Loving father of Kaleigh Grace Gutierrez. Cherished son of Jean and Ralph Murphy and Lloyd "Lucky" and Karen Gutierrez. Grandson of Gene E. Tilghman. Brother of L.J., Katie and Shelby Gutierrez, Craig Murphy (Liz) and Monica M. Couvillion (Eric). Son-in-Law of Jackie Gaeta. Brother-in-Law of Brandon Gaeta. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends. Andy was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish and a current resident of Picayune, MS. He was a graduate of Chalmette High School – Class of 1996 and played football during his junior and senior year. Andy was a devoted family man, especially to the "light of his life", his only daughter Kaleigh. He was a loyal, caring and giving friend. Andy enjoyed football and loved the New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Monday evening, February 3, 2014 from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM and on Tuesday morning, February 4, 2014 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery, St. Bernard, LA.
