Johnson Family, praying your strength as you let God comfort you. I thank God for the life Pastor Andrew Johnson led. This man of God allowed his light to shine brightly as he sojourned here. A life well lived. Sleep on and take your rest. Know you can't crown Him until we all get there!!!
December 12, 2013
Pastor Johnson has been in my family's life since I was a little girl, as he was my grandmother's pastor. Learning of his death was a shock and we were saddened. It has been almost 20 years since my grandmother passed, but I was blessed to briefly visit Macedonia and see both he and Mrs. Johnson earlier this year while in New Orleans on business. I was unable to stay for worship service, but I promised him that I'd be back soon to see him. Unfortunately, I won't get that opportunity. However, God has called him home to eternal rest, and His timing is not ours.
May God bless and comfort you, Mrs. Johnson, Andrea and family.
Much love from Annie Bell's son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter -

To Johnson Family,
Words cannot express my sadness for your lost of such a fine man. I am sorry I was unable to attend services but know my prayers and thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.
It's the little things, everyday occurrences that you will remember. The laughs, stories, the sermon, the smiles. And even though it seems like you can never recover from your loss, it is these memories that will help push the pain away and bring back the smiles.

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.

A Niece love for a Great uncle!
I just want to say thanks for the time you were there. You showed me that you cared, even when I did wrong, you were still there! I knew you loved me like your own because you took the roll as my uncle. You really did not have to but I am so glad you did! I understand God needed you home but I know I will never be alone. Because of what you have instilled in me, your legacy will live on. Miss you but will let you go!

Prayers are offered at this time to the family of Pastor Andrew Johnson and the Macedonia Full Gospel Baptist Church.
Pastor Johnson was an old school , singing somebody and fervent praying man of God. Baptising me approximately 34 years ago, Pastor Johnson is given credit and honor for my firm foundation within the church today. Every time the doors were opened on Erato Street, the Johnson family made sure that I was in attendance. Furthermore Pastor Johnson introduced me to and had my feet firmly planted in the many dynamics of stewardship and church ministry which included: Sunday School, BTU, Tuesday Night Prayer Meeting, church worship services, counseling, the choirs, the deacon board, the youth usher board, 3rd Sunday Youth Announcer and fellowshipping of the saints throughout the city of New Orleans. Pastor, you loved to sing "I Want to be at the Meeting" and you loved to sing there will be "Peace In the Valley", Pastor Johnson you are now at the meeting and there is Peace! Thank God for such a man!
