Mannie and Family:

Words can not express the pain you feel. Always remember the good times that you , the family and Angela shared. As you wake up each morning and look to the sky she's there looking down at you and smiling. She will forever be missed, but one day you all will be together. She will always be an angel to me. I can picture all of us going to the Superdome Dances and having a good time. Those were the days it's thoughts like this that will keep you smiling and help ease the pain.

Trina, Mannie, Keyvon, Jacques: I have been friends with you guys for many, many years (since my days of youth) and have been a part of many celebrations and gatherings with your family. In saying that, I know how very close your family is and always have been and I want to say that there are no words to express the devastation that I am experiencing at this time in the loss of your sister. Neenie will truly be missed. I know that this is a very trying time for you guys, but please know that GOD is still in control and that earth has no sorrow that heaven can not heal. Continue to look to the hills for we know that is where your help comes from for which all of your help, peace, strength, healing and love comes from the LORD. Please know that my family and I send our love and prayers to you all today and always. Love Sonya Smuthers and Family (Min. James, Alan and Derrion)

To my nephew, Carl Ruben Bryant. You have my love and deepest sympathy for the lost of Angela. Carl, always remember that God is your comforter, your guide and your strength. You and your beautiful children are never alone. You may experience times of feeling lonely, even when you are among others, however, remember that you are never alone- that God is your constant companion. Trust God in all that you do, seek Him only, and may the peace of God keep you in all your ways. "Know that I am with you and will keep you wherever you go." Genesis 28:15

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Father God, I pray that you look kindly upon family and friends
during this time of sorrow and gather their pain into your peace, heal their heart,
come with a familiar voice that brings comfort. Be present in their grieving,
and overcome all their doubts. I know Angela will be missed by all,
allow them to understand she is living in the joy and peace of your heavenly kingdom.
And as the pain eases and the healing begins, give them
the strength to reach out to help those who follow them.
I ask these things through Christ our Lord.

December 7, 2007

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

STRENGTH TO LIVE

How great is life, how strong are we? To endure this never ending toil.
Often we seem to find happiness,
And then disappointments harsh recoil.
But with mixed thought and heavy hearts,
We look to God to ease our pain.
And like the changing of the seasons,
We can go on again.
It may not be a material gift,
Upon which some of us rely.
It is an inner peace built on faith,
And with God's help we will survive.
To have real peace of mind,
In this turbulent world is odd.
So our lives are directed by the faith,
That we have in Almighty God.

P.S. Even though we are thousands of miles apart, please know that we are with you in spirit. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always.

Jesus died so that we may live forever with him. Encourage one another with this truth.

1These. 5:9-11. God did not Appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, wherther we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. I was so saddened by the loss of "nena" such a warm and loving person. I was blessed with the opportunity to meet the family. It didn't matter when or where I saw her she was always the same. Keep God first in your lives, he'll get you through it.

Love Always,

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.

When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
