Barbara Duncan Obituary

Barbara Lee Duncan, of Metairie, Louisiana, passed away with her family by her side on Monday, May 9, 2016 at the age of 71. She was born May 28, 1944 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Arthur and Naomi "Butter" Stuart Duncan. She was the granddaughter of Johnny Stuart and Mona Kippers Stuart. Barbara is survived by her devoted daughters, Darlene Brown and Marlene Rouse; her granddaughter and the apple of her eye, Darby Rouse whom she was very proud of; her brother, Arthur Duncan; two sisters, Audrey Cash (Mitchell Cash, deceased) and Deborah Landry (Cliff Landry) and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her godchild, Kathy Woodruff and her best friend since she was five years old, Sue McElroy Woodruff. Barbara's generous and kind spirit and the uncanny ability to always make you smile, even when she was ill, will be greatly missed by many. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Monday, May 16, 2016 followed by a graveside service in Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie.The online guestbook is available at www.gardenofmemoriesmetairie.com.
