Barrett Ring Donnelly

Barrett Ring Donnelly, 31, of Savannah, died Friday, January 20, 2017, at Candler Hospital in Savannah.
A memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2017, at Richmond Hill Funeral Home, 8901 Ford Ave, Richmond Hill, GA. Immediately following the service, the family will be available to receive condolences.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made online via a YouCaring account set up in Barrett's name, to offset funeral expenses, and for his son's education fund.
Barrett was born October 11, 1985, the son of Mardy Ring Hunnicutt and Michael Donnelly, in Charleston, South Carolina. "B-Boy" was the youngest of three sons.
He graduated from Richmond Hill High School in 2004 and attended Armstrong Atlantic State University in 2005. Through his work at Candler Hospital and Memorial University Hospital, Barrett met many wonderful friends who will miss him dearly.
Barrett spent much of his youth playing soccer, traveling to games throughout the Atlanta, and later Savannah, areas. He made many memories with lifelong friends and carried his love of the game into adulthood.
In his spare time, Barrett enjoyed playing golf and fishing. He was a loyal fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, which was easily recognized with his ever-present Georgia Bulldogs hat. Barrett also had a lifetime love for the Atlanta Braves.
Barrett discovered true love with the birth of his son, Kieran, whom he shared with Krysti Favorite. Kieran brought nothing but joy to Barrett's life, and he cherished all of their time together. Kieran will surely miss his daddy, but will remember his love whenever he sees a rainbow – a sign of hope after the storm.
Barrett is survived by his son, Kieran, of Savannah; mother, Mardy and Steve Hunnicutt, of Richmond Hill; father, Michael Donnelly, of Jacksonville, FL; two brothers, Micah Donnelly and Kendrick Donnelly, of Jacksonville, FL; nephew Kendrick and niece Isabella, of Savannah; maternal grandmother, Berdean Ring, of Riceville, IA; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Marvin Ring; and his paternal grandfather, James Francis "Pops" Donnelly.
