Beverly Bares

Beverly Ayo Bares, age 78, passed away peacefully at her home on August 25, 2017 after a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Roy Bares, Jr. and mother of the late Michael David Bares. Beverly is survived by her children Karla B. Daigle (Glenn), Karen M. Bares, Frank Bares, III (Catherine) and Raymond Bares (Kristi); grandchildren Kristina (Kevin), Catherine (Jason), Frank, IV (Krista), Victor (Alyssa), Joshua and Olivia; great grandchildren Anthony, Chloe, Charlotte, Trent, Remy, Kurtis and Victor, Jr. She is also survived by her sister Diane Noyes who took excellent care of her while she was ill. Preceded in death by her parents Samson Alphonse Ayo, Sr. and Clair Mahne Ayo., and her brother Samson Alphonse Ayo, Jr. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a parishioner of St. Jane de Chantal Church in Abita Springs until her illness made it too difficult to attend mass. She was a retired Cafeteria Manager from the Jefferson Parish School System and took great joy in working as the "Snack Lady" at Magnolia Trace Elementary School in St. Tammany Parish. She also was a volunteer at Habitat for Humanity and a strong supporter of the Patriot Guard Riders and the Wounded Warrior Project. The family would like to thank everyone involved in her care and those that visited her during her illness. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, 1600 N. Causeway on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 12:00 noon with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery #2, New Orleans.
