Bill Alexander Obituary

Bill Alexander passed on Easter Sunday, April 17th, 2022 at a nursing home in Metairie, LA. Born on June 7, 1945 in Carmi IL, raised in Louisville KY, traveling through a few states before landing in New Orleans, LA. in 1968. Having met his future wife Maria, they were married for 25 years becoming parents to Karen and Susanna, and grandfather to his only granddaughter Viktoria. Bill called this home for 55 years living in New Orleans, Kenner and Metairie, LA. He is survived by 1 brother, 4 sisters and a host of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters. Bill worked as a Maintenance Engineer during his career including at Wembley Industries, T.L. James Business Park, and Taylor Energy among others. He retired in 2006 after spinal surgery. Friends and family are invited to attend the service on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA. 70001. Visitation will be at 10:00 am with a service at 11:00 am. Interment immediately after.
