Brett Hughes Obituary

Brett Even Hughes went home to Jesus on December 21, 2022, at age 57. Brett was born to Loretta and the late Ralston Hughes on November 3, 1965, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He has three siblings, Stephanie Varns (Matt), Kim Bourgeois (Kevin), Ralston Hughes Jr. (Teresa). As a child, he loved to play football and the drums. Brett met his wife, Mandy Hughes in 1997. They married on April 25, 1998. He has six children: Brittany Lander (Blake), Tiffany Wooley, Madelyn Hughes, Noah Hughes, Alaina Hughes, and the late Joshua Hughes. In addition to being a dedicated and loving father, Brett also loved camping, music, sports, and woodworking. Throughout his entire life, Brett held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him. Brett joins Joshua Hughes and Ralston Hughes in Heaven. He is survived by his wife, Mandy Hughes, his daughters, Brittany, Tiffany, Madelyn, and Alaina, his son Noah and his mother, Loretta. Brett is also survived by his beloved grandkids, nieces and nephews, and close friends. He will be dearly missed and always remembered. Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you," Declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Mandy and family, We are better for knowing Brett all of these years. He was a light in everyone´s life. We prayer for all of you and are very sorry for the loss of the sweetest Husband, Dad, Grandpa and friend. He will be truly missed. We love ya´ll and are always here for you.
