Canary S. Jenkins departed this life at her residence on Sunday, December 7, 2003. Mother of Sara Jenkins, Evelyn Jenkins and Alma (Wayne, Sr.), Joyce Hill all of Marrero, LA, Canary (Charlie) Gilbert of Westwego, LA, Miles (Antonia) Jenkins, Sr., Harvey, LA, Percy (Tommie) Jenkins, Jr. of Washington, D.C., Eddie L. Jenkins of Jackson, MS, Pearl Conner and Jerry Dean Jenkins both of St. Joseph, LA, Henry James Jenkins of Waterproof, LA, Vera Mae Cotton of Oklahoma City, OK, Larry Jenkins of Oggersheim, Germany and Pastor Donald Roy (Rosalyn) Jenkins of Chesapeake, VA. Also survived by 39 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 9 sisters, 3 brothers, 3 brothers-in-law, 4 sisters-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age 90 years. A native of St. Joseph, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Relatives and friends; also pastors, officers, and members of Shiloh M.B.C., Heavenly Star B.C., Rock of Ages B.C. and neighboring churches; Dr. Kenneth Gordon and staff and the Young Men Twenty Club, Inc. are invited to attend the Wake Service from Shiloh M.B.C., 1419 4TH St., Westwego, LA on Friday, December 12, 2003 at 7:00 P.M. Rev. Woodrow Hayden - officiating. Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. at the church. Funeral Service from Spring Hill B.C., St. Joseph, LA on Saturday, December 13, 2003 at 12:00 noon. Rev. Roosevelt England - officiating. Interment Panola Cemetery, St. Joseph, LA. Family guest book may be signed online at www.legacy.com. ARRANGEMENTS BY DAVIS MORTUARY 230 MONROE ST. GRETNA, LA.
