Carol Clause Obituary

Carol Mae Nash Clause passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at her residence on Thursday, February 4, 2021. She was 80 years old, a native of Avoyelles Parish, LA, reared in New Orleans, LA and a resident of LaPlace, LA for the past 21 years. Carol was a person of strong Catholic faith and lived life serving others. Arts and crafts were favorite pastimes and included coloring, drawing, sewing, cross-stitching, doll-making, floral arranging, embroidering, painting, decoupaging and more. She enjoyed estate shopping to collect antique linens to craft into beautiful works of art to gift others. Carol loved being in the presence of children of all ages and walks of life, but was particularly in love with her grandchildren. She was a natural storyteller, often sharing creative versions of her own life stories. Favorite songs included anything by Elvis Presley and Hank Williams, but she mostly loved singing You Are My Sunshine to her grandchildren. Beloved wife for 60 years of Wilbert Adam Clause, Jr. Loving and devoted mother of Katherine Marie Clause Shea (Mark), Patricia Ann Clause Ramirez (Gus), Wilbert Adam "Rocky" Clause, III (Lori) and the late Keith Roy Clause. Grandmother of Robert James Blancher, Jr., W. Adam Clause, IV (Stephanie), Brandon Arthur Ferris, Baileigh Maureen Shea Roy (Travis), Delaney Patrice Shea and Christine Michelle Clause. Great grandmother of Caroline Maria Clause and Baby Roy who is expected to arrive in June. Daughter of the late Yvonne Marie Ducote Nash and Roy Nash. Sister of Barbara Ann Nash Frabielle (Johnny), Donald John Nash (Deanna), Marilyn Louise Nash Adams and the late Roy Nash, Jr. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel of L. A. Muhleisen and Son, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner, LA on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 12:30 p.m., followed by a private burial interment at Lake Lawn Park Cemetery.
