Carolyn Johnson Mitchell

Carolyn Johnson Mitchell entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at the age of 73. She was a native of Marrero, LA and resident of Westwego, LA. Carolyn was a graduate of Lincoln High School and Southern University at New Orleans. She was a Day Program Supervisor. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Mitchell, Jr. Loving mother of Llewellyn V., Elitha, Carlon Johnson, and Joh Mitchell. Grandmother of the late Wylil Alexander. Daughter of the late Henry Johnson, Sr. and Eudell Dubois. Stepdaughter of Rachel Johnson. Sister of Betty Johnson, Eudell "Linda" Reado, and the late Henry "Hank" Johnson. Mother-in-law of Miesha Johnson and Reameka Mitchell, also survived by 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church #3, and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 441 Wilson St., Marrero, LA on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Norman D.
