Celeste McCormick Puderer

Celeste McCormick Puderer passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Roy James ("Jimmy") Puderer. Loving mother of Roy, Jr. (Diane), Dennis (Barbara), and Peggy Buras (Brian). Proud grandmother of Alyce Johnston (Chris), Lindsey Dennis (Bowen), and great-grandmother of Avery and Caleb Johnston. Sister of Dillon McCormick, Arnold McCormick (Sue), and the late Betty McCormick Dupre (Earl). Daughter of the late John and Isabel McCormick. Former resident of Chalmette, LA, currently residing in Lacombe, LA. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Notre Dame Hospice for the care and compassion they gave to Celeste. A special thank you to her caregiver, Marie Bradley, for her wonderful care. Per her request, her body was donated to LSU Medical Center for education and research. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at St. Mary's Assumption Church, 923 Josephine Street, New Orleans, LA, on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Memorial Mass beginning at 10:00 a.m. A private burial will take place at a later date. She will be fondly remembered and missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her honor to Notre Dame Hospice, 2121 North Causeway Blvd., Suite 100, Metairie, LA 70003.
