Charles Farrell Obituary

FARRELL Charles G. Farrell, Jr., age 71, passed away in his home on Tuesday, April 27, 2010. He was a lifelong resident of Metairie, LA. Beloved husband of Patricia Dore Farrell and the son of the late Irene Crochet Farrell and Charles G. Farrell. Father of Charles, III, Brett, Randy (Denise), Chad (Kim), David (Monica) Farrell and Dawn Farrell-Honea. Grandfather of Randy, Stefan, Quentin, Justin, Logan, Jordan Farrell and Jena Honea. Great grandfather of Savannah Farrell. Brother of Glenda F. Surgi and Beverly F. Louviere and brother-in-law of Katherine Dore Hebert. Charles served with the New Orleans Police Department for 22 years, Orleans Parish DA's office for 10 years and was employed by Orleans Parish Criminal Court Drug Testing. He was a member of the New Orleans Fraternal Order of Police and Charter Member of the Emerald Society. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Service from the Metairie home of THARP-SONTHEIMER-THARP, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd. at 43rd Street, on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 1:00 PM, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
