Charles Schilling Obituary

Charles Carroll Schilling, age 81, of Picayune, MS, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 9, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon Monroe Schilling and Gladys Miller Schilling; and sister, Annie Jean Mullins. Charles was a native of Mount Hermon, LA. He was a Control Supervisor with Entergy who retired after 40 years of service. He was a member of Roseland Park Baptist Church, Gideon International, and Board Member of RHEMA International. Charles was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Louisiana National Guard. He was a loving man who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, sharing his hobbies-fishing, cooking, and story-telling. Charles was a devout Christian who devoted his life to serving the Lord. He will be dearly missed. Survivors include his loving wife of over 57 wonderful years, Jo Ann Krieger Schilling; sons, Gregory Schilling, Scott Schilling and wife Marla; daughters, Carroll Ann Schilling, Kelly Schilling Herzog and husband Conway Jr.; 8 grandchildren, Conway Herzog III, Elizabeth Herzog Volker and husband Nicholas, Christopher Herzog and wife Carolina, Courtney Schilling Campagna and husband Chris, Joshua Edward Thomas Schilling, Colleen Ann Schilling, Felicia Anthony Willis and husband Michael, and Fallon Jo Schilling; 3 great granddaughter, Angel Willis, Lucy Volker, and Parker Jo Schilling; brother, Milford Schilling; and niece, Stephanie Loftin. Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 13, 2015 at 12:00 pm at Roseland Park Baptist Church. Visitation will be Friday, February 13, 2015 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Roseland Park Baptist Church. Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home, immediately following the Funeral Service. Rev. Dan Young will officiate the service.
