Charles Roy Wagner

The sun has set on the life of a wonderful kind and loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Charles Roy Wagner. Roy passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at East Jefferson General Hospital. He was 80, a native of New Orleans and lifelong resident Jefferson Parish. Roy graduated from De La Salle High School, Class of 1960 and Southeastern Louisiana College (SLC), Class of 1964. He was a member of Kappa Delta Tau (KDT) and after college Roy enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. Roy was a former member of the Krewe of Hermes and loved Mardi Gras. He could be spotted on the parade route of that day's parade whenever time permitted. Roy delighted in working at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and anticipated doing so each year. He worked twenty years for Marie's Fleur De Lis Catering and thirty-five years for K-Paul's Magic Seasoning Blends. Regrettably, Roy passed away just ten days after retiring. Father of Elizabeth Ashley Wagner Sheppard and Stephen C. Wagner. Son of the late Adrienne Mary Richard and Cornelius Roy Wagner. Brother of Dianne Wagner McNulty (William). Grandfather of Kaleb. Uncle of Whitney P., Michael Scott and Matthew T. McNulty. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral. Visitation at L. A.
