Cheryl Garcia Obituary

Cheryl Ann Lemoine Garcia passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016, at the age of 68. Beloved husband of Emilio Cesar Garcia, Jr. Mother of Antionette Renee Grego Duplessis, and her husband, David Duplessis. Grandmother of Kara Duplessis and David Duplessis. Daughter of the late Jules Lemoine and the late Josephine Mitchell Lemoine. Sister of the late Jules Lemoine, Benita Lemoine Olivier, the late Shirley Lemoine, Richard Lemoine, Ronnie Lemoine and Larry Lemoine. Aunt of Shirley, Kenny, Justin, Cody and Kayla McCarthy. Mrs. Garcia was a beloved lifelong resident of Harahan and a graduate of Riverdale High School. She devoted most of her life to the service industry, working at Lenfant's, Felix's, Sammy's Steak and Lobster and Ye Old College Inn Restaurants. She was adorned and trusted by her clientele, coworkers, customers and established restaurant families who recognized for her talents of making everyone feel welcomed and appreciated. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Soka Gakkai International, 1331 Prytania Street, New Orleans, LA on Sunday, 24, 2016, at 3:00 PM, followed by gathering. Memorial donations may be made to the Louisiana SPCA, https://www.la-spca.org/donate/inmemory. I knew her very well, she had a beautiful heart, always took care of my cats and plants when i went to lowa to visit my mom. i used to live two doors down from her in same apartments. She use to alwsys ask me when i was going to settle down and find a good woman...she was very happy when i met Daisy. Shes looking down on us from above.. will miss her spirit.
