Claire Altha Borne

Claire Altha Borne, a native and resident of Edgard, La passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, July 10, 2015 at the age of 89 years old. "Mrs. Altha" as she was affectionately called, retired from the St. John the Baptist Parish School System after 21 years of service. Wife of the late Aubrey Borne, Sr. Mother of Dianne Dumas(late Jerry,Sr.), Dafney Washington(Roger), Rickie Borne(Dorian Lumar), Claudia Bailey, Barbara Lewis, Aubrey Borne, Jr.(Cynthia), Michael Borne Sr., Stella Borne, the late Lonnie Borne(O'Wanda Sheperd), and the late Danny Borne, two sisters, Matilda Allen and Philomena Lumar. Survived by 45 grandchildren, 71 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren. Relatives and friends of the family also St. John the Baptist Catholic Church community and neighboring churches are invited to attend a mass of Christian burial at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2361 Hwy. 18, Edgard, La on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 11:00 A.M.
