Claire Adele Guasco, of Mandeville, LA passed away peacefully in her mother's embrace outside, under a clear sky and bright sunshine on Monday, January 29, 2024. She was born on November 4, 2023, in Covington, LA to Michael and Toni (Bonura) Guasco. Claire is survived by her devoted parents Michael and Toni and her brother, Cody. She is also survived by her paternal grandparents Robert "Bob" and Judy Guasco, her maternal grandparents Joseph and Jamie Bonura, her aunts and uncles Robert Guasco (Katie), Christopher Guasco (Stephanie), and Tatum Bonura; her paternal great-grandfather Anthony Guasco, Sr.; as well as her many cousins and numerous extended family members. Claire is preceded in death by her uncle Tyler Bonura, her paternal great-grandparents Gilda Guasco, George and Janet Siemers, her maternal great-grandparents Philip Bonura Jr. and Adele Bonura, and Alvin and Geraldine Smith. Claire's life was filled with immense love and support each day of her precious life. From the first day of her life, she always had family and friends by her side physically and spiritually. Claire's brother, Cody, looked over her each day with his picture fixated on her bed and was with her for both of her major surgeries and each time Claire had to be alone for any medical procedure. Claire managed to challenge the lives of all who knew her and still challenges those who are still researching into Claire's unknown illness. Claire helped form new relationships and close bonds that will never be forgotten. Claire's family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the exceptional medical staff at St. Tammany Parish Hospital, Ochsner Baptist, and Children's Hospital. Your unwavering care, compassion, and dedication during Claire's journey touched our hearts. Your expertise brought comfort during difficult times, and we will be forever grateful for the support you provided to Claire and to our family. Pallbearers will be, Michael Guasco, Robert "Bob" Guasco Sr., Joseph Bonura, Robert Guasco Jr., and Christopher Guasco. Friends and family are invited to gather at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 306 Saint Mary Street, Madisonville, LA 70447 beginning at 10:30 am on Thursday, February 8, 2024. Words of remembrance will be shared at 11:45 am, followed by Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Fr. Nile Gross, at 12:00 noon. In memory of Claire, her family asks that all who attend services wear a lavender attire item. Burial services and a reception will follow at St. Lazarus of Bethany Memorial Garden, 450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, LA 70433 under the direction and care of Grace Funeral Home.
