Clare S. Barr

BARR Clare S. Barr 1923 - 2011 Clare Schluter Barr passed from this life peacefully on Sunday, March 13th, 2011 at the age of 88. Clare was born and lived in New Orleans until she relocated to Gulf Breeze, Florida after Hurricane Katrina. Daughter of the late Ernest and Corrine Eble Schluter and brother of the late Ernest Schluter, Jr. Wife of the late Howard Barr. Survivors include daughter Gene Beyer and sons Richard Barr and Brian Barr (Marilee). Granddaughter Megan Barr, nephew Bruce Schluter and niece Brenda Everett. Clare was the window designer for many years at Godchaux Department Store and later at The Village Lady. She was extremely talented and admired for her artistic accomplishments. She was an avid gardener and loved making artistic flower arrangements. Interment to be held Friday, March 18th 2011 at the National Cemetary, Biloxi, Mississippi, at 9:45 a.m. Rose Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
