Claudette Florence Williams-Trufant Wallace

Claudette Florence Williams-Trufant Wallace was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, November 15, 2021. She was born and raised in New Orleans "Treme" and was a graduate of Joseph S. Clark High School. Claudette was the 1st Black spokeswoman for Regal Beer. She was also the 1st Black female Pit-boss at a major casino in Las Vegas. Claudette was the 1st Black female supervisor at Neal Kyle Schlitz Beer and a Sales representative with Johnson Products of Chicago, makers of Afro Sheen & Ultra Sheen cosmetics. Claudette was preceded in death by her husbands, Stephen Wallace of Washington D.C. and Edward Trufant; parents, Thomas "Uncle Money" Williams, Florence Pollard Williams, and her daughter, Tamia Nathene Trufant Wade; 3 siblings, Claude, Tyrone, and Thomas Williams Jr. and 1 brother-in-law, Arthur Valteau. She is survived by her devoted sister, Cheryl Linda Williams-Valteau; daughter, Stephanie Wallace; daughter-in-love, Amy L. Schmidt and son-in-law, Steve Wade; 8 grandchildren, Nicole, Steven, Ryianna, Mertis, Corey, Arienne, Simone, and Jaylon; 2 sisters-in-law, Stella and Ella Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
