Darrell "DJ" Marcel Harvey, Jr., of Jefferson Parish, Louisiana entered rest on November 3, 2021, at the tender age of 30. He was born on June 11, 1991, in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana to Yonett Bartholomew and Darrell Harvey, Sr. He was a lifelong resident of Jefferson Parish with roots in Plaquemines Parish. In his early years, he was nicknamed "DJ" by his family. He was baptized by Father Denzil Perera at St. Jude Catholic Church. He received the Sacrament of Reconciliation on January 23, 1999, and the Body of Christ for the first time on April 25, 1999, at Christ the King Church. He graduated Youth ROTC June 25, 2009, and he continued his education and graduated from Job Corps on September 10, 2016, with a degree in Nurse Assistant and Home Health Aide. On October 25, 2018, he served as Valedictorian and was inducted into the Unitech Training Academy's National Technical Honor Society. He worked at Lab Corp as a Ekg Tech and phlebotomist and was enrolled at Nunez Community College to become a process technician. "DJ" became passionate and committed to understanding the stock market and crypto currencies and his conversations were usually centered around becoming the first family millionaire. He will be deeply missed by all the people who were fortunate to be a part of his life, most of all his family. He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted parents, Yonett Bartholomew (Felix) and Darrell Harvey Sr., his siblings Darrius Marcel and DeNae My'Kel Harvey, his grandmother Martha Harvey, his grandfather Leo Barthelemy, Sr., his Godparents Nelwin and Jasper Harvey, Sr. and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
