David Michael Frey

David Michael Frey November 22, 1955 On December 9, 2015 at the young age of 60, our beloved son, brother and best friend was taken from us. David had a brief but intense battle with cancer that robbed him and us of many years of joyful life and fellowship. A native of New Orleans, David is preceded in death by his father, David Bing Frey. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Hall Frey, brother Michael, his wife Sharon, sister Marilyn Treen, husband Ben, sister Barbara Lynn Frey, sister Dr. Patricia Frey-Murray, husband Brian and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. David is also survived by his life-long best friends Donald Albanese and his family, wife Jan, and sons, Donald Jr. & Patrick. Donald remained at David's side throughout this ordeal providing friendship and companionship during the chemotherapy sessions, radiation sessions, hospital stay and hospice care. The Frey family is very thankful for Donald & Patrick's caring for David and overall generosity to the family. David attended Jesuit High School and the University of New Orleans and had a successful career at Folger's Coffee Company. David enjoyed working on 1957 Classic Chevys in his younger years and enjoyed friends and family throughout his life. David had a kind heart, a generous soul, and cared for all of mankind, especially his family and friends. David will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, though there is comfort in knowing David is next to the Lord our God and Savior for eternity. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 4337 Sal Lentini Parkway, Kenner on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation at church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery No. 1.
