David B. Harrison III

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of David B. Harrison, III, at the age of 92 on Sunday, September 8, 2024. David is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Fay Hood Harrison and five children, David B. Harrison, IV (Kristin), Peggy Harrison Douglass (Ed), Justine Harrison Simpson (Brett), Mark E. Harrison (Lisa), and Jane Harrison Gamble (David). He was loved by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and preceded in death by father David Burrell Harrison Jr and mother Pearl Bowman Harrison, and one great-granddaughter. David was a Veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Free Masons, a member of the International Association of Machinists, and was a thirty-year employee of Prager Machine Shop. He was an avid reader and enjoyed expanding his knowledge in many interests including Engineering and Quantum Physics, but would most want to be remembered for his deep love and reverence of God. He strived to read his Bible daily and acknowledged God's blessings before every meal. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124.
