Dennis F. Heuer

1941 - 2024

Dennis F. Heuer (Crazy Denny) passed away on February 13, 2024 in New Orleans, Louisiana at the age of 82. Born on March 31, 1941 in Morris, Minnesota. He is preceded by his brothers David and Michael Heuer; parents Sylvester and Bernice Heuer. Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Gayle Duckert Heuer; brother, Randy Heuer (Linda); daughters, Donna Heuer Korach (Mark), Vicki Heuer, Rhonda Heuer Duffel; grandchildren, Holly Laurent (Beau), Brandon Korach, Sean Michael Kennedy (Tori), Ariane Korach Capone (Clark), Kyle Duffel (Jordan), Collin Duffel, Conner Korach; great-grandchildren, Madelyn Laurent, Aubrey Laurent, Liam Capone, Brantley Duffel, Kaleb Duffel; step great-grandchildren, Lyric, Braxton, and Bryson. Dennis served in the U.S. Army after high school and was honorably discharged in 1965. After the military, he went on to work in Ironworkers Local 58 for 25 years, and retired as an 18-wheeler truck driver after over 20 years. For all of those who knew and loved Dennis F. Heuer (Crazy Denny) are invited to attend his visitation that will be held at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Boulevard, New Orleans, LA 70124, on Monday, February 19 at 11:00 a.m. Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. After the chapel service, Dennis will be laid to rest at the Greenwood Mausoleum.
