Age 60, Died February 3, 2017 , after a lengthy battle with kidney failure. A
native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Knoxville, TN. , Beloved son of
the late Don and Doris Smart. Brother of Donald (D.R.) Smart II, David Smart,
Douglas Smart, Dean Smart, and Daniel Smart. Saint Paul High School 1973.

I'm just finding out.
I dated Dennis for 1 1/2 years when he lived in Chalmette.
He was funny and very smart.

To the family of Dennis Smart. I am sorry for your loss. I met Dennis at Carrollton Presbyterian school in the early 70's, and he was my first boyfriend. I last contacted him in 2010. He had a great sense of humor and was a sweet guy.

I got to know Mr. Smart fairly well through multiple encounters with him, and what I learned about him was he was fighter. He always had a quick wit, and a good sense of humor. Rest in Peace Mr. Smart.
