Dominic Mai Van Nguyen

Dominic Mai Van Nguyen passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at the age of 90. He was a native of Vietnam and resident of Metairie, LA. Dominic was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He was a member of Our Lady of La Vang Catholic Church and St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Dominic is preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Anna Dinh Thi Thuong; parents, Som Van Nguyen and Lan Thi Ha. He is survived by his children, Neil Lien Nguyen (Thu Ha),Binh Thanh Nguyen (Minh Trang Nguyen), Juliet Huong Nguyen, Huyen Gwen Nguyen, Rosi Hong Nguyen (George Healy), Hai Hoang Nguyen, Anna Ha Nguyen (Dam Tran), Vanessa Van Nguyen (Gregory Gehring); 14 grandkids and 16 great grandkids. The family would like to give special thanks to Bishop Elect John Tran, Father Vinh, Father Bach, Father Bao, Father Mike, and Father Garrett, Our Lady of La Vang Church, St Philip Neri Church and Legacy Hospice. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation and Mass held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd New Orleans, LA on Friday, January 20, 2023. Visitation will begin at 4:30pm until mass begins at 7:00pm. A reception will follow mass. A second visitation and mass will be held at Our Lady of La Vang Church, 6054 Vermillion Blvd in New Orleans, LA on Saturday, January 21, 2023. Visitation at church will begin at 9:00am until Mass at 10:00am. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.
