He worked as the Communications Director at the Orleans Parish Criminal Sheriff's Office, and most recently as an Investigator at the Orleans Parish District Attorney's Office. He was a parishioner of Divine Mercy Catholic Church and a member of The American Legion. Donald was a huge LSU sports fan, particularly Football and Baseball, and a huge fan of history. From the Don Harris family, Don it was my great pleasure to know you in our time together at the OPDA. I always enjoyed our conversation from time to time. To the Hancock family we offer our heartfelt condolences but know that Mr. Hancock has served his time well here on earth and although he will be missed, God said to him "Well done, my good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord"
Matthew 25:23

My prayers are extended to all of the Hancock family. I remember Donald from the "Old" TC days. I was several years younger but I just remember him as a very nice person back in the 60's. May the Peace of Christ be with all of you at this time.
