Dear LaCorte family, Bill was special. He consoled me when my father passed away while we were in our second year of medical school at Tulane, class of 74. I always appreciated his sensitivity to my loss. I'm glad I got to see know him and see him at reunions in New Orleans. I am so sorry for your loss.

I have been out of town and just read the sad news of Dr. Bill LaCorte `s passing. I have known Bill for over 20 years. We shared numerous patients at several nursing homes and hospitals. He performed physicals on the patients who were under my care at several psychiatric facilities. Our professional relationship quickly evolved into a close friendship. We lost contact when I decided to move out of town.
Bill was always courteous, accessible, caring, and kind. He was the source of great comfort to me when my beloved wife died in a tragic incident.
His sense of humor was contagious. With a resume of exceptional professional success, I always found him humble and down to earth. He fought for what he believed in. I will miss him dearly.
Rest in peace, my friend.

I have known Bill LaCorte for almost 50 years. We met at Tulane University School of Medicine in 1977. Over the years his excellence and clinical practice technique became obvious to me. The greatest evidence of this is that I asked him to assume the care of my wife during a very tumultuous period of time at Touro Hospital in 2022. I give him credit for my being able to share my life with my wife. Thank you dear Bill. RIP. Ron Nichols M.D.

Dr LaCorte was my cousin´s doctor whom I took care of. Several times when my relative was in the hospital, Dr LaCorte was there on the weekend, Saturdays and Sundays. I don´t know if this was routine and normal
, but it amazed me. He was such a hands on doctor, always explaining in detail for me to better understand my relative´s condition.
Sending Heartfelt Condolences and Blessings to Dr LaCorte´s Family.

While I did not know Dr. LaCorte, I send my sympathy to all who did.
I read the beautifully written story about this man who helped others.
Going through medical issues of my own and I realized there are few doctors left out there that really care about the people who put their trust in them for their health.
Dr. LaCorte sounds sounds like he was that kind of doctor.

Karen, Billy, and the rest of the family,
I don´t recall exactly when I became part of the Lacorte Family crew. It was before I was a patient because Bill, Cliff and I were meeting up before I was a patient.
Bill became a cross between a friend, Brother and mentor in someways, but definitely family, as you all did and are.
I saw Bill to be a man who champions causes for those who couldn´t and against those who thought they were untouchable. He hated bullies and he loved to take them down. I don´t know why a guy Bill and a Cop/ Marine with no family here became so close but I am so glad we did.
Bill should be the example to the Medical profession of how to treat patients both medically and personally. I´ve told friends "If your laughs and says funny nice things about Bill Lacorte then you possibly have a good Doc! If they talk bad an about Bill Lacorte, then maybe not!"
The medical Profession and the world lost a big one with Bill leaving us. I don´t think there will be another.
I will say Kaddish for you Bill. I will hate it and I will Mourn. Soon the medical / Patient community and Doctors will feel the impact of losing you. You were a one and a Billion Doc and Friend. Shalom and keep an eye on all of us please.

There are very few folks that I have met in my lifetime whom I consider to be a legend but Bill was one. He was brilliant, caring, absolutely hilarious and a formidable foe of any barrier that hampered the delivery of world-class medicine to his patients. I feel so very fortunate to have known him and will miss him as my doctor.

Dear LaCorte Family and Friends, I am saddened by your loss and pray for your Comfort, Strength and Peace as you go through this tender season of your lives. I have had the pleasure of knowing Dr. LaCorte and enjoying being in his presence as he cared for his patients. He was always so thorough, kind and jovial. His patients were always glad to see him and be the recipients of his special touch. He always had time to talk with us, the staff, and to share his wealth of knowledge about patient care, health and well-being.
As you go through this journey, remember, God loves you and is always with you. Surrender your hearts to Him and trust Him for your healing.
Blessings,

Karen, Just found out about Bill's death. Think about you often and enjoy trading Christmas cards every year. One memory I want to share with you that always has and will make me think of Bill:
My father was hospitalized at Touro many years ago and I don't remember the reason but I was restricted from going into his room. I ran into Bill at a hallway in Touro and I imagine that I looked rather down and out. After Bill and I exchanged hello's, he told me to follow him and he would take me to my father's room. After a clandestine-ish series of halls and elevators, we arrived at the room. Bill went to the Nurse's Station, came back to the room and gave me a pep talk on my father's condition. Unfortunately, my father died two days later, but I'll never forget that Bill stopped what he was doing and took the time to extend both friendship and bedside manner.
I am sure your recovery from his death will be difficult, but you've got a lot of family to lean on and one saddened thought coming your way from Colorado.

I´m so sorry to hear of Dr LaCorte´s passing. I had the privilege of working with Dr LaCorte as he was an active member of Orleans Parish Medical Society. He was a member of the Executive Board for many years. He was a dedicated member who was committed to advocating for his patients and the practice of medicine.
He was also someone I could count on to bring a little levity to any situation.
He loved being a physician and loved his patients, and he loved his family so much.
He´ll be missed!

To th e LaCorte Family:
My very deepest and heartfelt condolences to each of you. I am very deeply filled with grief. Dr. Lacorte was my doctor for many years until I switched over to Humana. He gave me best when he was my doctor. He overlooked my care when I was hospitalized and only wanted what was best for me. I have always been GRATEFUL and always will be for all he did for me. Family know others share in your grief. May God comfort all our broken hearts. Rest in Peace Dr. LaCorte!

To the family of Dr LaCorte:
This outstanding doctor cared for my grandmother in her last years. He was the most wonderful doctor she could have had. Dr LaCorte never failed to do whatever was required for her to be comfortable and fully capable Ed for during her final years. He would also speak with the family. He didn´t rush off or ignore them. He cared! I was deeply impressed with the love and service he gave his patients. Thank you for sharing him with the community. Your loss is deepest, but we all lost a fine man with his death.
Sincerely,
Zoe Fleming

I had the pleasure of meeting and knowing Bill since we were 1st year medical students at Tulane in 1970. He was hoping to attend our 50th reunion in May but God had other plans. I will miss him as will the patients he so devoted his life to. We shared a common bond. He as a geriatrician and me as a pediatrician-both ends of life-and we discussed each others choices. God speed Dr. William St. John LaCorte.
