Dwight Joseph Bazile

Dwight Joseph Bazile, age 77 was born on March 12, 1946 in New Orleans, LA passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 10, 2024. Dwight was a parishioner of Holy Ghost Parish (St. Katharine Drexel) and attended Holy Ghost Catholic School. He entered Xavier Preparatory High School but " hoop dreams" led him to Walter L. Cohen High School where he became a member of the Cohen Hornet's basketball team. He also attended Southern University of New Orleans for two years. Dwight "Rope-A-Dope" worked diligently and faithfully for the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier for over thirty-eight years. Dwight was the loving husband of forty-five years to Helen D. Bazile. Beloved father of LaDelle Bazile Henderson. Devoted brother of Wanda Bazile Hewitt (the late Elmer), Kathleen Bazile Green (Darnell), Ronald Bazile, Sr. and Gregory Bazile (Carmen). Brother-in-law of Ronaldo Dugars Sr. and Roderick Keith. Adoring grandfather of Julian and Jarian Bazile. Also survived by nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, numerous friends, neighbors, cousins, family, and customers throughout New Orleans and Baton Rouge. Greeting him on his arrival are his parents Adam Louis Bazile and Mildred Vincent Bazile; his son Jarrett Bazile; his nephew Isaac Bazile; and his siblings Adam Bazile, Jr., Vincent Bazile and Ernestine Bazile Keith.
