Dr. Lupin was my long time physician and also my daughter's. After twenty years he
continued to ask about her and my last appointment with him, he actually thanked me for coming to see him. What
a generous man with everything he was and believed in- I think he was forever
proud to have served his country. He continued to wear his uniform with pride.
Too late, I have a Mardi Gras picture that I had planned to send to him.
He loved life, the arts, fashion, the French Quarter and his generosity to his many charities.

I have been a patient of Dr. Lupin for the last 30 years. He treated me through 2 pregnancies and gave birth to my son and was also my primary care doctor. He was an excellent doctor and even though I only seen him once a year, I still considered him to be a very understanding and caring friend. I will never forget him. He definately was a special man.
My condolences go out to his family.

Ralph reached out to me and made me feel welcome on the National WW2 Museum Board of Trustees. I appreciated his friendship. He was a great person, and the city of New Orleans has lost something with his passing. Prayers of comfort to his family.

May 5, 2014

I extend my sincere condolences to the Lupin family. I worked for and with Dr. Lupin for five and a half years as office assistant and private scrub. He was a wonderful person and Dr., and I enjoyed working with him and all the other doctors while I was employed with Womens Medical. He and his fellow colleagues were so supportive when my husband died. I know he will be truly missed. But just find the comfort in knowing that he lived a beautiful life in the serving of others.

Sincerely Yours,
Loretta Kincey Jenkins

New Orleans has lost one of it's real treasures. Ralph never failed to support people and causes. He will be long remembered.

Ralph was known to me as a friend and fellow collector. We were kindred spirits involved in preservation and cultural activities. His time and organizational skills were freely given. In his generation, the uncountable time he spent on things which make New Orleans what it is, along with his financial generosity, will live long. I think he had a good life and we were indeed fortunate that he was among us.

Dr. Lupn was my OB/£GYN. I don't think I ever thanked him properly for my three wonderful children. I had my tubes tied when I was very young. I remarried and in 1980, when it was still considered experimental, they were successfully reconnected. He would be so proud of those children. One work's in the scientific community, one is an ad exec and one is a sous chef. My husband was in medical school at the time and he did it pro bono Thank you so much Dr. Lupin, as late as my gratitude is. You have contributed and lived this life to the fullest. You will be missed,

To Pam and family
As you know, Helene and I knew Ralph since grammer school. It was very nice that Ralph was one of my sisters Pall-Bearers. Unfortunately there are no words that can erase the pain of losing a loved one. When I heard the news, it was like the end of an era.

Mrs. Lupin and the rest of your family, be at peace for he's in a better place, in the bosom of the Almighty. Earth has no sorrows that heaven cannot heal. An old patient.

Pam, Jay and Family,

Dr. Lupin was a gentle and generous person, who I worked for, for 11 years. In those years I became a friend, as well as, his employee. He helped me in difficult times. One that I will never forget was when I had to put my parents in separate nursing homes. They had never been separated in their lives. He knew how hard this was for me and he pulled whatever strings he had to, to try and ease my pain. Things like this you never forget and many more in the years I worked for him. If you needed him, he was there ready to do whatever to help you, always with warmth and concern.

He will be sadly missed and a true Icon.

My heart-felt sympathy to a wonderful person and a great New Orleans family. I remember when I first met Dr. Ralph in 1979 when he sponsored the NOPD Tactical Unit softball team and we won the Championship. I still have the jacket he gave us at his French Quarter home where he held a reception for our team! He was a very generous and community minded person!

My wife, Sarah and I followed with interest the career of Dr. Ralph Lupin since he helped me with a delicate problem in 1969. His professionalism combined with human warmth and concern were always at the forefront of everything he did and never diminished by his often hectic schedule.
May the almighty comfort you with the other mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
