E. Smith Obituary

E.L. "Smitty" Smith entered into eternal rest on April 5, 2021. He was the only son of the late Donald Smith and Emma Causey of Franklinton, LA., born on June 26, 1941. He was married to LaDoris Singleton of Tylertown, MS. E. L. was preceded in death by his mother and father; his son Chauncy T. Smith, Sr.; and sisters Ella Magee and Leverne Smith. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife LaDoris, children: Daphne S. Nwagbara (O. Franklin), Kimberly Smith-Jones (Terrence), and Natasha Smith-Lewis (William); 8 grandchildren: Tarionne Raymond, Chauncy Jr. and Mone Smith, Te'a Jones, Chioma and Chigozie Nwagbara, William K. and Kennedy Lewis; sisters: Willie Ann, Willie Bee (Henry Watson), Emma Perkins (Eugene) and Faye Brock; aunts: Jerry Dean and Elizabeth Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Friends and family are invited to attend the Celebration of Service on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at The Boyd Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 8:00 - 8:45 a.m. followed by service at 9:00 a.m. A second Visitation will take place from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Friendship Church of God in Christ, 47409 Blackjack Rd., Franklinton, LA 70438. It's been a year Mr. Smithy and everytime I pass your home I say I miss old Mr Smithy always brought a smile to my face saying something funny. The neighborhood is not the same for sure . We have moved and they are moving us from the block you know are always asked about that. Well get your rest until we meet again.
