Earl Anthony Register Jr.

Earl Anthony "Wop" Register, Jr., a loving son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew and friend entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 12:07 am. Mr. Register was a graduate of Joseph S. Clark Sr. High School's Class of 1985 and Everest College Class of 2018. At the time of his passing, Earl lived in New Orleans, LA. He was a kind and humble soul, who was selfless to all. He was easy-going and had a great sense of humor. At an early age, Earl developed a love for music and DJing. He played an intricate role in the New Orleans hip hop community. Earl leaves behind his father, Earl (the late Jacquelyn) Register, Sr; loving sister, Renee (Vernell) Leavings and brother, Julian Register. Also survived by his loving nieces, Raven Thurman and Jayde Fairley; grand-nieces Destiny and Madison Thurman; nephew, Isaiah Smith, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Marsha Williams Register. A Celebration service honoring the life and legacy of the late Earl Anthony "Wop" Register, Jr. will be held at the Mahalia Jackson Theater of Performing Arts, 1419 Basin Street, New Orleans, LA 70116 on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 11 AM. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation 9 am until 10:30 am in the Theater.
