Elizabeth Dougan Obituary

p>Elizabeth H. Dougan, age 86 of Harrisonville, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2007 in her home. Born in Richwood, daughter of the late James and Rae Kirkbride Hulings, she was raised in Barnsboro before moving to Paulsboro, then to Harrisonville in 1963. She was a graduate of Pitman High School, class of 1938, and worked for the US Department of Labor in Philadelphia before she joined her husband in the service, and she later worked for the County Clerk¹s Office in Woodbury.

She loved taking care of her home and raising her family, and she enjoyed crocheting.

She was a member of St. John¹s United Methodist Church in Harrisonville and a member of the Order of The Eastern Star of Glassboro since 1948. She was also a member of the South Harrison Senior Citizens Group.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, George B. Dougan; her brother, T/Sgt. James E. Hulings, who was killed in action in World War II; and her stepmother, Emma Morgan Hulings.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna of St. Petersburg, Fla.; her son, G. Jeffrey Dougan and his wife, Marlene of Millville; her grandchildren, Jeffery, Joshua and Jessica Dougan of Pennsville, Wayne Owen, Milo, Rachel, Micah, and Jeffrey Hatch of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Holly Jusiel of Dunnellon, Fla.; and her great-grandchildren, Haley, Andrew and Alexander Jusiel.

Services for Mrs. Dougan will be held 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 31 where friends are invited to call from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Woodbury Memorial Park in West Deptford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to South Jersey Healthcare HospiceCare, 2848 S. Delsea Dr., Vineland, NJ, 08360, or to the Memorial Fund of St. John¹s United Methodist Church, PO Box 2, Harrisonville, NJ 08039.

My precious mother...you are the sweetest person I have ever known. You are so loving and kind all your life, never saying a bad word about anyone. I cherish your memory and look forward to being with you again when our Lord takes me home.
