Emile Joseph Foret Sr.

FORET Emile Joseph Foret, Sr., age 79, a native of Raceland & resident of Thibodaux, was entrusted to God's loving care on Sunday, September 5th, 2010 at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston, Texas. He retired as Vice President Production Supervisor with Avondale Shipyards after 47 years of faithful service. Survivors include a close companion, Kathryn "Kat" Thibodeaux, Thibodaux; 2 sons, Keith Foret & wife Mary of Baton Rouge and Emile Foret, Jr. & wife Ann of Raceland; 2 daughters, Linda Ledoux & husband Robert of Youngsville and Phyllis Boudreaux & husband Ernest of Thibodaux; 2 sisters, Annabelle Lirette, Thibodaux and Laura Dufrene of Raceland; 11 grandchildren, Chantelle, Raine, Justin, Lauren, Mary, Christopher, Jamie, Christie, Joshua, Lauri, & Chad; 8 great-grandchildren, Bryce, Dominique, Kobe, Jacob, Emilie Rose, Courtlyn, Caleb, and Coewen. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rosemary Guidry Foret; a grandson, Jeremy Percle; and his parents, Alevan Foret and Odette Zeringue Foret. Emile loved & celebrated life to the fullest. He enjoyed Cajun music and dancing. Visitation will commence at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in St. Charles Community on Thursday, September 9th, 2010 from 9:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM.
