Robert Edward Foret Sr.

Robert Edward Foret passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the age of 80. He was a lifelong resident of Harahan, LA.

Robert was a loving husband and father. He loved good food and good conversation. He especially loved to travel and seemingly never met a stranger, quickly making friends wherever he went (including his grandson's bus driver, mail carriers, trash collectors, etc.)! He was well known for his passion for Shell Oil, where he retired after some 30 years, and for his interest in all things World War II. He spent over 50 years as a God fearing Witness of Jehovah, preaching and making disciples of Christ Jesus. For decades, he served as an elder in the Jefferson Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and enjoyed sharing truths about God's word and conducting bible studies.

Robert was the loving husband of 56 years to the late Diane B. Foret, caring father of Angela Foret Brupbacher (Bert), Robert Foret, Jr. (Robyn) and Ryan Foret (Kimber). Grandfather of Julia, Luke, Sophia, Colin and Ethan. Son of the late Lillian and Joseph Foret. Brother of the late Ronald Foret and Delores Ferrara. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. He will be dearly missed by all.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 9024 W. Metairie Avenue, Metairie, LA 70003 on Saturday, January 3, 2026. Visitation will begin at 3:00 PM followed by a Memorial Discourse at 4:00 PM.
