Emily Stuprich

Emily Alphonso Stuprich, age 69, passed peacefully on Friday, December 22, 2017 at her residence. She was born and raised in St. Bernard Parish and has been a resident of Slidell the past 13 years. She was employed by the St. Bernard Parish School Board for 12 years and most recently by Slidell Memorial Hospital for the past 12 years. Emily was a Christian woman who loved God and took pleasure in helping others. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace Alphonso, Sr. and Ruby Marrero Alphonso; brother, Jim Alphonso, Sr; and son, Robert Burkett. She leaves her loving memory to her husband, Anthony L. Stuprich, Jr; son, Wallace Burkett; step-sons, Anthony Lowe (Bobbi), Ryan Stuprich (Suzette), Anthony R. Stuprich, Nicholas F. Stuprich (Kimberly); brothers, Wallace Alphonso, Jr. (Betty), John Alphonso (Linda); sister, G. Nina Daughtry (Alan); and daughter-in-law, Tammy Burkett. Emily is also survived by her grandchildren, Caelyn Schutte-Burkett, Brandon Lowe (Whitney), Nicholas Lowe, Brennan Stuprich, Laney Stuprich, Bryce Stuprich, Abigail Stuprich, Travis Durst, Ronald Durst, Brandon Durst, and Jae Dawn; great grandchildren, Willow, Emery, Kate, and Alexis; and nieces and nephews, Alan Daughtry, Jr. (Amanda), Christina Touro (Nelson), Jennifer Daughtry, and David Daughtry.
