Ernest Walter Toll Jr.

1956 - 2021

Ernest Walter Toll Jr. born June 25, 1956 and died December 28, 2021. Ernie died peacefully in his sleep. Ernie lived life to the fullest enjoying cooking, golf, current events, sports, and never backing away from a good political debate with friends. One of Ernie's greatest joys in life was his great nieces and nephew. Ernie graduated from EJHS in 1975 where he was on the wrestling and football teams. He was an all district and all state offensive tackle. He attended the University of New Orleans after high school. Ernie retired in 2018 after a 30 plus year career at Coca Cola. He is preceded in death by his mother Carol McBride Toll, father Ernest Walter Toll Sr., brother-in-law Charles DeLage and beloved great niece Evelyn Rae DeLage. He is survived by his sister Debra Toll DeLage, nieces Jennifer DeLage and Allison DeLage, great niece Vivian DeLage and great nephew Joseph Toll Touchet. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at Tharp Sontheimer Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N.
