Evangeline Fernandez Obituary

Evangeline Fernandez A resident of Donaldsonville, she died peacefully at 5:30 A.M. on Friday, June 13, 2014 at her home. Beloved wife of the late Lacroix F. Fernandez, daughter of the late Willie and Blanceh McCaskill, Mother of Cheryl Ann McGuin and Lacroix Michael Fernandez, sister of Rudolph and Lionel McCaskill, a devoted God-sent son Gabriel Otoo. Preceded in death by her siblings; Mildred Dupart, Muriel Banford, Eva Thomas, Levi, Donald, Willie and Gloria McCaskill. Evangeline was a resident of New Orleans for many years until Hurricane Katrina. Age 86, Evangeline was a recipient of the St. Louis Medal by archdiocese of New Orleans. Relatives and friends of the family, St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church, Shekinah Glory Christian Fellowship Church, Innovative Home Health and Saint Joseph's Hospice are invited to attend visitation on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church, 422 St. Patrick Street, Donaldsonville at 9 A.M. until Mass of Christian burial at 11 A.M. Rev. Quentin Moody, Celebrant. Recitation of Rosary at 10:15 A.M. Interment in Ascension of Our Lord Cemetery, Donaldsonville. Arrangements entrusted to Demby & Son Funeral Home, Donaldsonville.
