My heart is broken. I always expected Fannie to outlive me. I write books, and she and I talked about writing one together. In one of my books, the whole story turns on what a "Mrs. Eugene" says. That was the strength Fannie brought to so many lives. I am so terribly sad.

Fannie, I'm already missing our monthly lunches at Chili's. I am sure you realized how much it meant to me that you called me almost weekly after Louie died. Thank you for having one of your family members bring me to your house for us to say goodbye to each other. You are one of God's chosen ones and I know that you are in the palm of His hands. My condolence to Gene, your daughter and all your family members. You are irreplaceable.

My Buddy, my Dear friend, My Sister in the Lord, I love you and,I'm really going to miss you... Take your rest.

Bro Gene and Lavonza, I'm praying for you and all of the rest of the family. All who knew Sis Fannie knew she was a kind, faithful and generous person.

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
1 Thess 4:16-18

May 23, 2018

My beloved friend, I shall miss you forever. Say hi to my mom and dad and promise to always remember how you changed the world with your genuine kindness and faith in God and in everyone whose life you touched.
