On behalf of Louisiana Women Veterans, we would like to extend our heartfelt sympathies to the family of Florence Robert Henderson, U.S. Army National Guard veteran. We salute her service to our country and honor her with this poem:
She is a woman veteran
Whose service was true
And she proudly served
The Red, White and Blue
She gave a part of her life
So others could be free
And without any hesitation
She joined unselfishly
She did her job well
With Honor and Pride
And served her great country
With the men alongside
We're proud today to know
That although she is gone
She goes on to glory
After a job "well done!"
And so, "Our Dear Sister"
We salute you today
A special soldier laid to rest
In this quiet, solemn way
Inspired by: God

Dearest Monica and Damon...Our hearts and deepest sympathy go out to you and your families. Regretfully we could not physically attend service today but was there in spirit as dad is not well to travel. We will never forget the way your mom stepped up and lovingly cared for our elderly aunt Miss Sedonia Coleman who lived next door to her. We were so grateful and could not have asked for a more attentive and caring neighbor. We have a lot of love for your mom and consider Ms Florence a member of our family. We feel your pain as our hearts too have been broken. She will be dearly missed.
